General Questions
Where are you located?
We have two distribution warehouses, one on each coast to provide fast shipping.
Where are your safes manufactured?
Just like most of the safe market today our safes are manufactured in China. They are manufactured to our specifications and our standards. Our safes are held the highest quality possible.
Are your safes “waterproof”?
Our safes are not “waterproof”. Most of our models however will sustain water spray from an overhead sprinkler system and/or from a fire hose.
Can my safe be secured to the floor or ground?
Yes, in most cases. Most of our safes come with pre-drilled anchor holes for securing your safe to the floor or ground.
Do you make custom safes?
No we do not manufacture custom safes.
Do you have any models that the door swings left when in the open position.
No we do not carry any models that have a left swinging door.
Are your safe refurbished?
No all of our safes are brand new and have never been sold.
Do you have any “scratch and dent” specials?
Yes we have a few models that have been scratched or dented that cannot be sold as new and will be sold at a discounted price.
Combinations, Electronic Locks and Keys
What kind of combination lock is used on your safes?
We use high quality UL Listed Group II 3 wheel key changeable locks.
What kind of electronic lock do you use?
We use Lagard or S&G electronic locks. It depends on the features required by the customer. Both locks are UL Listed.
What is the warranty on your electronic locks?

How do you get more keys?
One may select them as an additional feature or make note of how many you would like in the comment section.
What is a dual key lock?
A dual key lock is a lock that requires two keys in order to unlock it.

Payment Options and Discounts
Do you have wholesale prices?
At this time we do not have wholesales prices.
Do you offer a discount on multiple safe purchases?
Yes. They are handled on a case by case basis.
Do you take personal checks, money orders or cashier checks.
Yes. The safe WILL NOT be shipped until check is received and clears the bank.
Shipping, Tracking and Installation
Your shipping is free, does that include inside delivery?
No. Our delivery is a lift gate curbside service only. Under NO circumstances will the delivery company deliver the safe past the curb.
How do I move my safe inside my house?
United Safes recommends that you contact a local moving company to make arrangements to have your safe moved in your house/office. They will have the tools, experience and manpower to move your safe.
Can I pick the safe up from your warehouse?
At this time our warehouse policies do not allow for personal pick-ups or “will calls”. You may contact the freight company shipping your safe and make arrangements to pick your safe up at the local terminal.
How do you track your order?
In most cases you will be e-mailed a tracking number. If you do not receive it you may call us and we will track it and give you your tracking number at the same time.

Burglary or “B” rated Safes
What is a Burglar or “B” rated safe?
A safe with at least a 1/4 inch body, 1/2 inch door. These safes do not undergo any testing and the presence of a locking device on the box give them the "B" rating.
Gun Safes
What gauge metal is your gun safes constructed out of?
Our gun safes are made with 10 gauge steel on the body and door.
